FANUC 31i-B5 Machine Controller System Option With Integrated PC Interface - 

Industrial CNC Machine Controller with Fanuc Panel-i HMI w/High Res touch screen. Fanuc 31i-B5 is not a PC with a control card but is a dedicated Industrial PLC designed to control CNC motion, for maximum reliability and performance. Includes: Network capability, adds Larger FANUC Digital Drives & Servos. Includes Full remote diagnostic troubleshooting capabilities. Adds m-code controlled vacuum zones (if equipped with Vacuum Table Option). Provided with 4-port network hub (requires 460V out isolation transformer). Selecting this option replaces any other standard control system.

5-Axis 12 HP Nutating Spindle - 6-Pole, 12HP – 22,000 RPM Single-Armature 5-Axis Spindle w/HSK-63 Spindle Taper. Nutating head rotates at 50 degree angle to provide space savings. Fully programmable, variable speed, quick-change spindle, capable of routing & drilling, programmable feed rates with override capability. Continuous A-Axis & C-Axis Rotation available in the head (subject to tool length restriction). Includes air booster and accumulator tank for 150psi accumulator tank (from 100psi main). 

Chiller for Liquid Cooled Spindle Option - Adds a liquid cooling system & chiller in place of the standard fan & compressed air spindle cooling system. (Recommended when machining mostly non-ferrous metals or when using 20HP spindles or larger) 

2-Position-Large Vortex Dust Extraction System - Uniquely Designed Integrated Dust Extraction hood pulls chips away from the spindle’s nose & up a separate chamber & hood that is fully integrated & working with spindle by-pass cooling air to create a venturi-type effect that more effectively removes chips from the machining process. (Appropriately sized dust transition also provided for connecting to your dropped-in flex hose) 8” transition for router head only, standard machines. 12” if drilling block, boring block, retrofit kit, or c-axis is added 

Programmable Air Blast - Blows air on tool tip to aid chip or dust evacuation. Can be controlled by M-Code.
